Workshops for Nunavut Artists
The TAMYC Workshops for Nunavut Artists were created to “speak” to the geographic and cultural realities of Nunavut artists.
Directed specifically at Nunavut visual artists/craftspeople, performing artists, and filmmakers, they cover everything from Inuit values to promotion (how to tell your story as an artist - the ‘elevator speech’ – yes, in Rankin Inlet!), portfolio development, websites, selling online, grant writing tips, a marketing plan, tax and copyright - with a special take on intellectual property.
Each workshop includes:
- A PowerPoint presentation;
- A detailed Trainer’s Guide for Inuit trainers who are being prepared to deliver the workshops;
- A Participant Workbook with handouts.
